Agreement to Terms
By booking photography services with LiraPhoto, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read these terms carefully before proceeding with any booking.
Booking and Deposits
A signed contract and non-refundable deposit are required to secure your booking date. The deposit amount varies by service type:
- Portrait sessions: 50% deposit
- Wedding coverage: 30% deposit
- Events: 50% deposit
The remaining balance is due on or before the date of the session or event. Payment can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other agreed-upon methods.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing via email. The following policies apply:
- More than 30 days notice: Deposit forfeited, no additional charges
- 14-30 days notice: 50% of total fee due
- Less than 14 days notice: Full fee due
In the event of photographer illness or emergency, we will make every effort to provide a qualified replacement photographer or offer a full refund.
Rescheduling
Sessions may be rescheduled once at no additional charge with at least 7 days notice, subject to availability. Additional rescheduling requests may incur a rebooking fee.
For outdoor sessions affected by severe weather, we will work together to find a suitable alternative date at no extra cost.
Copyright and Usage Rights
The photographer retains copyright to all images created during sessions and events. Clients receive a personal use license for all delivered images, which includes:
- Personal printing and display
- Sharing on personal social media
- Personal digital use
Commercial usage, including but not limited to advertising, promotional materials, or resale, requires separate licensing. Please contact us for commercial licensing inquiries.
Image Delivery
Delivery timeframes are estimates and not guaranteed dates. Standard delivery times are:
- Portrait sessions: 2 weeks
- Weddings: 4-6 weeks
- Events: 1-2 weeks
Images are delivered via a private online gallery. Gallery links remain active for 12 months from delivery date.
Image Selection and Editing
The photographer reserves the right to select and edit images for delivery. Not all images captured will be delivered. Final editing style is at the photographer's discretion and is consistent with their portfolio style.
Requests for specific edits or additional retouching may be accommodated at an additional fee.
Liability
While we take every precaution to protect your images, the photographer's liability is limited to the return of payments made. We maintain backup procedures and professional equipment, but cannot guarantee against all potential data loss or equipment failure.
In the unlikely event of complete image loss, our maximum liability is limited to a full refund of fees paid.
Client Conduct
We reserve the right to end a session early without refund if the photographer or their equipment is subjected to unsafe conditions, harassment, or disrespectful behavior.
Model Release
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, clients grant LiraPhoto permission to use photographs for portfolio, marketing, and promotional purposes. Clients may opt out of this at any time by providing written notice.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
